Thessalonians 5:17 exhorts us to “Pray continually.”

Prayer is universal. It is important that we know accurately what the Bible says so that we can be sure that our prayer has value and can prevail with God. Prayer is an invocation or act that seeks to activate a rapport with God in the narrow sense, the term refers to an act of supplication or intercession directed towards our Lord and Savior. It is our direct line of communication with Our Father. Prayer can also have the purpose of thanksgiving or praise.
Prayer is also how we spiritually fight against the enemy. "Prayer is fundamentally a warfare activity."
